Sādhanā: Tools for the Revolution
A liberation-oriented series for healing professionals
October 23 - 25 | Starting at $450 (CAD)
What is Sādhanā?
Sādhanā is a liberation-oriented offering for healing professionals.
This 10-hour workshop, offered over one weekend or three days, is designed for therapists, yoga teachers, chaplains, coaches, and others who identify as healing professionals. Drawing from Buddhist frameworks, this series offers concrete tools, practices, and perspectives that support practitioners in their own ongoing work while strengthening their capacity to accompany the communities they serve.
We often talk about decolonization. This series explores the how. It creates space to examine inherited frameworks, cultivate new ways of understanding healing, and imagine possibilities beyond the limitations of individualism.
This series is open to wellness professionals of all ethnicities and religious backgrounds as long as they are open to learning from this lens. Buddhism is a non-theistic framework - it does not require one to believe in god or any particular figure.

Liberation-orientation is a lens through which we unlearn sociopolitical conditioning. It asks us to look beyond individual healing and consider the social, cultural, historical, and systemic conditions that shape our suffering. It invites us to develop practices that support greater freedom, agency, connection, and collective transformation.

World over, communities are rising up to resist the systems that exploit humans and natural resources for money and so-called progress. Our healing practices are situated in a sociopolitical context that reinforces status quo. But it does not have to be this way. The practices from Buddhism support inner and outer work using the same strategies and principles. The revolution is as much inside, as it is outside.

The three tools will be drawn from the different Buddhist schools. They will offer a holistic perspective on the body and mind. They will also help deconstruct popular approaches in mindfulness and compassion-based practices. And lastly, resourcing will be looked at as building morale and courage to look beyond one’s personal safety and work towards collective liberation.
